One post has them saying how changing a poc to another poc is wrong and people are racists for it and should burn in hell or whatever.

Yet they love images such as a greek wonder woman turned black. 

Isn’t this a little stupid?

If you can make a greek character black, then why can’t I turn a black character greek?

Just as this images where people changes everyone’s race in, for example, korra. Korra is now white and Bolin and Mako have her skin. This blog gets mad at Korra’s change but absolutely adore the new Bolin and Mako.

And I understand the lack of dark or coloured character in media but this is taking it to far, you are not preaching this with love, you are using hate and that is disgusting

I am against white washing, or making a fanart where you see Korra as this white princess, because she is obviously inuit and is built as fuck. But when someone changes a character’s race, they love it when they are turned darker than they originally were, but hate it when it is otherwise

No one, unless you are drawing an original PoC or brown character as white to make them look prettier or to draw them how you see fit. If you draw all white people as your original characters no one gives a shit, we might think maybe you are a little closed minded and some other negative things but not a white washer.

“This is just another tumblr fad.”
Fuck you and take a seat. White washing has always been a problem and many people talked about it before a couple of big named blogs got all this attention. Most attention from Butt hurt assholes who deny that white washing is a problem and they didn’t do it.

“I don’t know how to draw brown skin”.
This is the biggest load of farse I have heard in a while…. They give you all the browns you need ever in every colouring, picture editing, photoshop, paint, corel….. blab blab blab ever. Thing is most of you never tried. Or you did and probably said ‘oh this is too dark, its ugly’…. in which case you are a white washer, probably racist (even if not racist white washing itself is a racist act and probably makes you racist automatically) and probably an ass hole.

“I cant draw PoC features.”
You know how you figure out how to draw all well and stuff when you learner to draw, you practiced first… DO THE SAME THING. You can ise referance photos or something… it really ain’t that hard.

White washing goes farther than just drawing people to fit a certain look. Its in the media, it is every where. PoCs just wanna actually feel beautiful the way they are naturally and not conform to the euro-centric idea of what is beautiful. I’m done with this rant though. I needed to let that out of my system.

If a cartoon character is white washed in fan art please calm down. The cartoon character isn’t a real person. 

If it’s an actual person being white washed in a photo then there is a problem.

Thats my opinion so take it with a grain of sand.

Also I would like to add, that while turning a character with colored skin into pale white is not alright, if the skin color is a little shade off then your just being a bit too anal about things.
