This is the face of a CC who is sorely unamused.
Let’s dive into why.
Now I know it’s Fanart Friday and we’re supposed to be taking a break from the bullshit but I just wanted to address something that seriously annoyed me.
It is VERY difficult to upset me.
Even when I reblog things and speak in caps and I sound PISSED, I’m little more than irked.
Having discussed anti-Blackness a few hours ago, I was prepared to put the use of an anti-Black slur behind me and continue on with whitewashing and fanart.
Until I saw a few posts made by mexicanikki this morning.
Marco has provided me with a pretty rad screencap of what irritated me.
Let’s start with the non-apologetic clarification as to WHY this person thought it’d be acceptable to use “nigger”.
In this post, this person clearly exhibited their lack of depth as well as their completely selfish attention-seeking vapidity. Seeing as how “I’m Black” was not one of the excuses made as to why they used “nigger”, I’m going to assume this person is not Black. Now rather than redact their offensive post, mexicanikki attempted to justify it by saying that they used the slur to draw attention to themselves.
They knew that they were so goddamned irrelevant that the only way anyone would pay attention to them was if they made such a incendiary post.
I checked the damnlayoffthebleach tag regularly and I had seen their first post. I scrolled right by it with a simple snort. BORING. This person has so little love in their life, that they had to be so cruel as to use a racial slur to get people to look their way.
They used a slur that has aided the slaughter of thousands of people, a slur that continues to contribute to the deaths of thousands,just to grab some attention for their pathetic, lackluster life. And even after seeing the anger and hurt among various Black bloggers, they claimed it wasn’t “anti-Black discrimination as much as it was an attention grabber for the people whose heads are stuck so far up their asses that they feel the need to send me death threats over the internet”.
I do not condone sending death threats to anyone over the internet, but I find it quite difficult to feel sympathy for someone who used a violent racial slur for fifteen minutes of fame. Especially since we don’t live in that illusionary ~*post-racism*~ society and there are many people who lose their lives because they’re “niggers” in this day and age.
It is sick, sociopathic and just plain wrongthat this could ever serve as a plausible excuse. This person does not get to decide that it wasn’t anti-Black discrimination, ESPECIALLY since they didn’t even bother to use other racial slurs to engender attention for themselves. I don’t find it to be a mere coincidence that the only race targeted was the Black race.
Now as if I wasn’t already irked enough, they answered their next ask with
it goes back again to the matter of people being so overly (and overtly) being offended by it, as if I (or anyone who says “nigger” regardless of race or the race of the person it’s directed at) had just given them and their family death threats and was acting on them.
Because to this person, “nigger” and “death threats” are mutually exclusive, although “nigger” has been used to precede violence and has been a part of race-based violence for centuries. This person believes that they have the right to downplay the dynamics being implemented when they use the word. I mean, seriously guys, it isn’t a big deal, it’s not as if I’mstabbing you in the face.It’s notas ifI choked your little brother.I just used a violent racial slur that has mentally enslaved people for centuries so others would look at my blog and pay attention tome.

Another part of that same ask was:
to me, the blog is like PETA. I’m sure they originally meant well, but it’s being run by a bunch of extremist nutjobs who have deviated so far from their original point that now they’re acting like every single thing that opposes their will is a blatantly offensive and direct attack on them and their integrity, and that they overreact, and overreact badly, to any such things.
Now, in the screencap of the comic above, you can see that this person believes WE overreact and are quick to berate and call people racists. Not only did this person make an entirely new blog to talk shit, they don’t even know what the fuck they’re talking about.
As I’ve statednumerous times,it is only the ARTISTS who overreact and take things to a whole new level. When we reblog artwork, we do not comment on the style of the drawing, nor the “intention” of the artist
BECAUSE WE DON’T CARE.

That doesn’t mean we’re calling you racist, that doesn’t mean we’re berating you and that doesn’t mean we’re putting you down.
IT MEANS YOU WHITEWASHED AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY GET AROUND TO FIXING THAT.

Because those artists can admit their mistakes and take it lightly.
We DO NOT instigate fights. We only “yell” at people who come into our ask box spewing nonsense; telling us to kill ourselves, dropping racial slurs like hot potatoes, making excuses and berating us for providing valid criticism. We only “yell” at people who make slanderous posts about us and even then, we only do so when we catch wind of it. We aren’t actively seeking anything.
It is very telling that a simple reblog and a snarky comment can be perceived as “YOU’RE RACIST, YOU’RE A TERRIBLE PERSON, BLAHRARHAJS”. It shows how rarely people use critical thinking as well as how important racial equality is to said people.
Now. I bet you’re wondering why I bolded “to me, the blog is like PETA”.
It’s because the comparison strikes me as very disgusting. Marco noticed it right away and summed it up pretty nicely:

Is this asshole insinuating because we’re standing up for the proper representation of people of color, we’re defending ANIMALS? Regardless, the comparison is in poor ass taste. *side-eye from Satan’s pit*
I am laughing bitterly at the sheer irony of this person’s existence.
That they would be so rude and so BASIC as to call us immature and “preteen”, but they have no problem using a serious racial slur to get attention for themselves.
It’s obvious that they have no proper gauge of what immaturity is.
It’s obvious that they have no proper gauge on the importance of the lives of other people.
It’s obvious that they’re a lost fucking cause and a sorry excuse for scum off the underside off my shoe.
I mean, SERIOUSLY? A swastika themed background on your blog?
Not even creative.
Tut tut, tsk tsk, for shame.
As of now, my standards have been raised even higher.
You must be absolutely unbearable in order for me to analyze you.
