Korra fanart, and you post a lot of whitewashed Korra art so I don’t think I need to tell you they’re supposed to be Asian.  The Korra in this set just looks mad White to me; they didn’t make her dark, they just coloured her skin with red values instead of beige.  (In addition to that, if you click to the photoset I linked, you can see most of her portraits make her and the other LoK characters look Caucasian.  I’m not sure if this page counts drawing POC characters with blatantly Caucasian features as whitewashing, but I thought I’d link to the whole post just in case.)

CC: I agree with you, but I don’t particularly like speaking on whether or not an Asian character looks white because I’m not Asian and as an American, we’re given very skewed and racist images of what Asian people are “supposed” to look like (particularly east Asian people, because Southeast Asian people suffer from erasure here). Asian followers, feel free to add commentary to this, I’ll be waiting to reblog your thoughts. Korra is whitewashed to all hell.

Note to potential submissions: please refrain from using the word “caucasian” when referring to white people. I previously posted why that word has racist connotations and why we will refrain from using it on this blog.
