I can't believe you guys STILL get asks from people going "is it cool if I brownface for cosplay?" Being white is not the same as whitewashing a character and brownface and blackface are NOT the same as wearing blue or green bodypaint. How hard is that to understand?

I noe rite?! That’s just laziness. We answered that question a billion times. It’s in our FAQ! How do you fail so hard and STILL ask this. Ugh. Look through our page and you’ll easily see the billion answered ask and get your answer. It’s like when we get the color theory excuse for whitewashing. Like, we disproved this on day one. Go back and learn cuz we are getting tired of repeating ourselves.

Your answer to the last ask, I think it's a good idea to set a story like that in another world. I wanted to add that if your story is set in a fantasy world that shows racial diversity (and that's rare), using real world slurs is both offensive to your readers and lazy writing. It's a fantasy world. What are the odds your characters speak English? Make up slurs based in the languages THEY speak. I swear if I read another fantasy story where Black characters are called the n-word, I will scream.
