Alrighty Then… I posted this picture a little bit ago and my freaking dashboard is filled with angry bleach fans whining about Angelina Jolie. Who the crap cares? Let me rephrase what I meant since people I don’t even know got a little bent out of shape about what I originally said. This is what I said…

“Okay. I really dislike Angelina, but… I could actually see this in the live action. This could work. Not that it will actually happen, but it could possibly maybe might work kind of.”

“Bleach is being made into a live action film by Warner Bros. and the screenplay is being written by an American screenwriter. I mean COME ON. It’s being produced by Peter Segal! He produces comedies! It’s gonna suck anyway! I don’t know who the heck is casting, but it’s going to be made by white Americans. Therefore, whether I or anyone else for that matter like it or not, the cast is most likely going to be white washed. What I meant was that, even though I freaking hate Angelina Jolie (which I should have further emphasized) I could see her in this role. Her acting. If it’s going to be all white people, then it should at least be all white people that can act instead of white no names who SUCK. She OBVIOUSLY doesn’t look like Yoruichi. Saying that would be an insult to Yoruichi. Oh yeah. And I didn’t stumble upon a picture of Halle Berry and Yoruichi, I stumbled upon a picture of ANGELINA JOLIE AND YORUICHI.”

I don’t care if the show is whitey mcwhitesville (which yeah, it MAY be), never could that woman as Yoroichi “work.” Insinuating such implies that DESPITE THE HORRIBLE WHITEWASHING OF YOROICHI’S CHARACTER, it will be okay since it’s Angelina Jolie and she’d be a good actor for it. And that’s EXCUSING whitewashing. Even on the slightest most seemingly innocent form, it’s excusing and dismissing whitewashing.
