Started looking at the Jasmine cosplayer comments. I don't get it. It is very obvious brownfacing. OBVIOUS. But someone said something about lighting and shade (funny, considering the amount of artists who use THE SAME ARGUMENT to explain why they whitewashed a POC character), and then other people said stuff about how getting a tan isn't offensive, and it all of it went downhill from there.
