This is a quality blog. White-washing is horrible, it's like telling someone they have to be the color you want them to be. I understand if you get the color wrong by a shade or two, because I understand that it's hard to get the correct skin color of a character, but completely white-washing is just plain wrong.
Forgot to ask, how do you feel about cosplayers cosplaying as someone of a different skin color? In my opinion I think it’s fine, as long as you don’t pretend to be something you’re not. What I mean is don’t try so hard to give yourself a different skin color. People should be comfortable in their own skin. When it comes to cosplaying it’s okay to be a different skin color than a character, but when it comes to fanart, respect the character and their skin color. Again, quality blog you have :)
