Hey I looked in your FAQ and couldn't find anything so sorry if you get asked this a lot but, do you have any advice for how to pencil shade POC characters? I sketch and don't know how to make them dark enough so they honestly just end up looking white or slightly tan. :/

SoLDN: ummm…press the pencil on the page harder or use pencil designed to shade deeper so 3B and darker

If you can shade other things darker, then you can shade the skin darker. I don’t understand what’s so hard? :/

  2. thisislucreziasand said: layering helps—-lay down a tone, rub in to the paper, and lay down another until you get your desired affect. add highlights by gently erasing. i was the only black girl in all white drawing classes in college—-it’s a gift.
