They closed their asks, but what i’m talking about is their insisting that somehow Korra’s concept art skin tone is offensive/out of bounds/unacceptable. That members of the Avatar crew are pushing this agenda on beauty and skin color, and that it’s not characteristic of Korra to be the shade she was shown to be. Not only referencing the facts i previously pointed out, but also that other members of the water tribe in the original series shared similar color changes and that the inuit race they were modeled after were much lighter than the obviously darkened concept art the blog keeps referencing. I refuse to accept it as “whitewashing” because they’re forcing this concept of injustice/bullshit/oppression where it has no place. And their mix/use of logic and attitude is the type of shit that gets nobody anywhere.
Racial/color equality is part of my entire family lineage and experience growing up, and I’m speaking in disagreement as someone who shares the same goals. So y’know, I’m not done with this one yet. Not this time.
