I don’t know if anyone remembers Rocket Power, but today on Deviantart, this was on the front page, by Viria13.

To me it appears to be whitewashing, if not because of Otto and Reggie’s clearly lighter skin, because of the fact that she got rid of their dreads?

I don’t know. Usually I’d give the artist the benefit of the doubt, but looking at her gallery…

The first one is supposed to be Artemis, and the second is George holding Fred II, who, as we all know, is mixed race. Her comment on the latter says:

“Don’t tell me Fred Jr CAN’T have freckles and be ginger, because in my mind he can, and he actually is. 

I want him to look like his father,to make…umm..to be kinda reincarnation of Fred.So don’t tell me Angelina was black,I KNOW.”

Welp.
